Network requirements for schools and IT administrators
Securedy Labs is a browser-based study tool for students preparing for the Cisco CCNA and CompTIA Network+ certification exams. Students build practice networks and configure them using simulated router and switch commands, entirely inside the browser. There is nothing to install, and no traffic leaves the browser other than to the services listed below.
This page exists so that a network administrator can allow the service through a web filter without needing to contact us.
What the software is
Securedy Labs is educational software for classroom and self-study use. It teaches the network configuration and troubleshooting skills covered by the CCNA and Network+ certification syllabuses: IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols such as OSPF, network address translation, and access control lists.
Everything happens in a simulation. The application does not scan, probe or connect to any network other than its own hosted services. It contains no tooling capable of affecting real equipment, and student work has no effect outside their own browser session. The appropriate filtering category is Education or Computer & Internet Information.

Ports and protocols
HTTPS on TCP port 443 only. No inbound connections, no non-standard ports, and no VPN or tunnelling. The application works normally through an HTTP proxy and through TLS inspection, provided your inspection certificate is trusted by the client device.
If the site is blocked
Securedy Labs is a recently registered domain. Some web filters block domains that have not yet been assigned a category, which can cause the site to be denied even though it has no history of malicious activity. If your filter blocks it, adding the hosts above to your allow list resolves it immediately.
We actively submit the domain for categorisation review with the major filtering vendors. If your organisation uses a product that still classifies us incorrectly, please tell us which vendor and we will raise it with them directly.
Privacy and student data
